Midwest IEC Graduation Summer 2020

Congratulations to the Midwest IEC 2020 Graduates! These gentlemen completed over 500 hours of classroom study and 8000 OJT hours in four years to earn their Journeyman License from the U.S. Department of Labor. Our six graduates include, Sam Vroom, Simon Summers, Kyle Fahler, Cody Ray, Zach Potat, and Jeff Davis.

A graduation dinner was held at Houlihan’s in Schererville, Indiana on July 8th where our graduates were presented with their Journeyman License by Midwest IEC Chapter President Don Hulsey. Our 2020 Wire-Off winner Zach Potat was awarded a Certificate of Achievement by Midwest IEC Vice President and Wire-Off Committee Chairman Mark Campbell. Zach will be representing the Midwest IEC in the Apprentice of the Year Competition at the IEC Convention & EXPO Event in New Orleans, October 28-30. Congratulations Zach!!

Midwest IEC’s founding member and Treasurer, John Evoik, presented gifts to our graduates from Platinum Industry Partner Milwaukee Tools rep Ian Sower and Keith Schmidt, owner of The Agency.
The Midwest IEC would also like to give a big Thank You to our Contractor Members who came out to support their Apprentices’ at Graduation: Randy Vroom, R. Vroom Service; Jeff Wiers, Electric Power Solutions; Bill Ray, Roselawn Electric; and Wayne Ogrodowski, Teck Electric. Also attending graduation, we would like to acknowledge two of our instructors, Austin Hulsey, first year instructor and Class of 2017 Alum, and Jason Gadomski, fourth year instructor, Class of 2004 Alum.

Thank you again Graduates! All of your hard work has paid off, you have built a strong foundation for your future in the electrical industry!
